TFGBV Training by COVAW
A four-day workshop with COVAW and UNFPA on technology-facilitated gender-based violence.
SYO attended a four-day training at Sulfur Hotel, organized by the Coalition on Violence Against Women (COVAW) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The focus was technology-facilitated gender-based violence.
TFGBV is any act of violence or abuse committed, assisted, aggravated, or amplified using digital tools, phones, the internet, social media, or email, targeting people because of gender. It extends offline gender-based violence into digital space.
Common forms include image-based abuse, surveillance, sextortion, doxxing, online harassment, and impersonation.
