AYEHA

Following up Community Talking Boxes so adolescents in Mombasa and Kwale get sexuality education that starts from their own questions.

AYEHA follows concerns raised through the Community Talking Boxes, which were created to close the information gap for adolescents, young people, and youth peer mentors on comprehensive sexuality education.

The model borrows from how African parents traditionally engaged children on sexuality, while the topics themselves come from the needs of adolescents and young people.

The strategic goal is improved health and wellbeing of adolescents and young people in Mombasa and Kwale. Objectives include equitable access to youth-friendly SRHR and HIV information and services, meaningful community engagement in programmes and policy, and stronger multi-sector coordination.
