Kujenga Amani Pamoja (Building Peace Together) is a 36-month project funded by the European Union and implemented by a consortium in coastal border regions of Kenya, Tanzania, and Mozambique.
In Kenya, We World is the lead partner and Stretchers Youth Organization is the affiliate. SYO implements in Kwale County at Matuga, Msambweni, and Lunga Lunga. The wider geography includes Tanga and Mtwara in Tanzania, and Cabo Delgado and Nampula in Mozambique.
The overall aim is aware and mobilized young women and men in these coastal border areas. The specific aim is that youth-led networks practise and share learning on building peace, preventing conflict, and promoting inclusion within peace-centred Swahili cultural practices.
