Small Claims

With support from UNDP and Kituo cha Sheria, SYO raises awareness of the Small Claims Court and the Small Claims Act of 2016 among women in business.
The project helps women entrepreneurs assert their rights, seek justice, and resolve financial disputes. Since it began, SYO has facilitated the filing of four cases, and one woman has already won the justice she sought.
Legal education, capacity-building, and direct help with filing claims are closing the gap between small-scale business owners and accessible justice.
